The Center for Negative Carbon Emissions, also known as CNCE at Arizona State University is advancing innovative technical, policy, and societal solutions to address climate change and support a sustainable future. Recognizing that emissions reductions alone are not enough to meet global climate goals, the Center focuses on technologies capable of safely removing excess carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. CNCE reframes carbon dioxide as a waste management challenge—developing affordable methods to capture, transport, and permanently store carbon.
