Lindsay Gaesser joined the Arizona Forward team in 2021 after graduating from Tufts University with an M.S. in Agriculture, Food, and Environment. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in government from Claremont McKenna College and a law degree from the University of Oregon with an emphasis in environmental and natural resources law.
At Tufts, Lindsay served as co-editor-in-chief of The Friedman Sprout and as the communications director of the school’s annual research conference. She also interned with the Food Law and Policy Clinic at Harvard Law School, where she worked on diverse issues ranging from food waste and conservation policy to USDA regulatory reform and program accessibility for socially disadvantaged farmers.
Prior to the master’s program, Lindsay worked in athletic communications at UCLA and Arizona State University, where she implemented communications plans for high-profile, championship-contending teams, served as the host media coordinator for multiple NCAA postseason events, and assisted with planning and executing the Sun Devil Club’s annual signature fundraising events. These experiences led to her role as an assistant media coordinator for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Final Four in 2017. Lindsay left a successful career in collegiate athletics to pursue graduate studies and to apply her skills toward promoting sustainable solutions in agriculture and food systems that support a healthier environment and population.
In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys cycling, exploring the outdoors, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
