The Pueblo Grande Museum offers public archaeology programs to enhance knowledge of the Hohokam people, Native peoples of the southwest and the science of archaeology. Tours include both indoor and outdoor exhibits and usually last approximately 1 to 2 hours. Pueblo Grande will accept between 10 and 60 students at a time at $1 per student. Teachers and chaperones are free. Archaeology activities: Archaelogy for Kids, Garbology and Petroglyph Hike. Craft Activities: Shelly Jewelry, Bag Rattles, Calendar Sticks, Desert Animal Puppets, Plaster Petroglyphs, Yucca Cordage and Mesquite Pots. Annual Events: Native Foods and Craft Fair, Art and Rug Auction, Indian Market and Ancient Technology Day.
