Candy Campbell plans, organizes, and implements all signature events including: Stewardship Summit, Environmental Excellence Awards, EarthFest Educators Night and the Annual Luncheon in addition to networking mixers and regional luncheons. Candy is progressively responsible for all operations and logistics of these programs, partnering with fellow staff and Steering Committees as well as overseeing Issue Committees within the organization.
Born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, she received her Bachelor of Arts from Arizona State University in 2013 in Political Science, minoring in Global Studies and receiving a certificate in International Studies. Recently, she completed a tour with the U.S. Peace Corps, serving as a Community Economic Development Facilitator in Burkina Faso, West Africa. Candy focused on working with microfinance groups in the rural village she called home during her service. It was here that she helped hundreds of women on developing smart and practical business platforms. Through trainings, she assisted in developing the skills of these microfinance groups in areas of soy transformation, soap development, moringa powder, budgeting and business planning.
Following her graduation from ASU, Candy completed an internship with Economic Development and Global Education (EDGE) completing a program in Dhaka, Bangladesh assisting in the development of technical and English skills focused on making young women more competitive in the job market. Immediately following this, she completed a research paper for the University of Tokyo connecting with them to establish the cultural and gender road blocks young Bangladeshi women face in their society. This was closely followed by living in Paris, France for a year to learn the language and experience a new country and culture.
Candy is active in her community and is currently serving as a Board Member for the Sustainable Seniors Foundation. Appreciating all Arizona has to offer, Candy enjoy's spending her free time volunteering in her local community, reading and going to the dog park with her trusty side-kick.
